Yves Saint Laurent released Libre back in 2019, within no time it shot up the ranks as a bestseller, this should come as no surprise as the perfume powerhouse has an impressive list under its belt.
Libre has an odd but bold ingredient - Lavender, traditionally used in male perfumery is given an ultra-feminine facet culminating in a couture-infused scent with a uniquely androgynous YSL attitude. Opening with a blast of citrus, warm and gentle. The heart features jasmine and Moroccan orange blossom, presented as if in a bouquet, intertwined with one another. Swiftly we're brought to lavender, a contrast that seamlessly blends in with the carefully chosen ingredients, and lastly we find a base of cedarwood and vanilla. These add a smooth flow to the fragrance and the result, a perfectly balanced with masterpiece wonderful projection yet unobtrusive. A grand floral Eau de Parfum with an unequivocal YSL twist.
